Design Your Life is the most popular course at Stanford.
The course takes students through a semester long journey of deciding what is important in life, how they want to make an impact, and multiple career options they can do to get there.
We need this class in every city in America. I would offer it for free to kids, working adults and seniors.
It’s never too early or too late to give serious thought to the course of your life.
If you’re not prepared to apply to Stanford, here are two simple ways to get started:
- Write your own obituary. If you’re not currently doing anything you want to be remembered for, make a short list of what that entails. Here’s mine.
- Write out on a piece of paper your Perfect Day. Plan it down to the half hour. Include sleep, exercise, meals, leisure, your ideal job and of course those obituary items. Here’s mine.
What small changes can you make NOW to get closer to that Perfect Day?
